Annie Thompsett:
Annie has spent 17 years in leadership and management positions in the private and public sector. Her experience has been independently recognised through the Welsh Woman Management Achievement Award in 2003. In addition to being an experienced coach, facilitator and communicator, key roles have included leading multidisciplinary teams in a major Utility and establishing the Carbon Trust in Wales from a standing start in 2001. Other sectors in which she has worked include environment, water and PR and she has held a range of non executive, board advisory, member and Trustee positions.
Annie has post graduate qualifications in both coaching, training and NLP and is a qualified provider of the FACET 5 psychometric profile tool and is sole provider of interpersonal skills programmes for the Professions Group Wales.
Coaching and Facilitation Experience:
In addition to incorporating a coaching approach into her leadership style, Annie has extensive one to one and team coaching experience spanning local authorities, universities and arts organisations in the public sector and one of the largest investment banks in the world, accountancy practices, property law firms and a range of SMEs in the private sector. Annie is currently part of a team of coaches on the Sustainable Leadership Programme run by Cardiff School of Management, UWIC. Her clients have ranged from Managing Directors through to middle managers and new starters.
Steve Burge:
During his 32 year career Steve rose to the rank of Chief Superintendent within the South Wales Police. During this time he worked operationally at all ranks gaining a broad experience in all aspects of management and leadership. For 4.5 years he worked at the Leadership Academy for Policing. As an independent coach and facilitator, his strengths lie in developing, facilitating and evaluating learning in the fields of leadership, diversity, performance management, organisational change, management and command. His diverse experience includes TV media companies, hotel groups and the arts and culture sector. Steve is a qualified performance coach and is qualified in a number of psychometric instruments and tools that includes Apter Motivational styles, Myers Briggs (Levels 1, 2 and teams), Belbin Teams, 16PF, Firo B and the Hay EI 360 degree profile.
Coaching and Facilitation Experience:
Steve has provided consultancy, training design and delivery nationally and internationally for the public and private sectors including an immersive learning event in dealing with complex community issues and courses dealing with diversity within the workplace and society. He had responsibility as the Head of the Diversity Unit at Centrex to ensure that the organisation complied and led on its obligations in this area. He had direct responsibility developing a single (six strand) Equality Scheme and reporting to the Commission for Racial Equality following an inspection into the Police Service.
